The Prodigal Sons musical production is a full-length show with all new music written by Jeannie Allen. Based on the biblical story, the script deals with two sons in the 80’s on a dairy farm in Oregon. Unhappy with his lot in life, the younger son demands his inheritance and sets out for Reno, Nevada, where he has a wild time and loses everything, winding up destitute in a pig pen. He then sets out to return to his father – broken and impoverished. The father still loves him and forgives him, even throwing an extravagant party to welcome him home, but the older son is angry and jealous, refusing to forgive his brother.
The show packs a wallop and is filled with powerful content. You will be thrilled and moved deeply by this story and the variety of exciting new music.
