Jessica Malone is a talented musician, with a unique songwriting style and a powerful soothing voice. Guitar, ukulele, violin, upright bass and drums are among the instruments accompanying Jessica's intoxicating vocals to create a one of a kind California travelin’ folk jazz sound that takes you back in time while heartfelt and relevant lyrics keep you rooted in the present. Jessica, singer-songwriter-ukulele folk stress will open for folk legend Arlo Guthrie at Mondavi Center this April. “The music that I create is sort of a combination of all the things I’ve listened to in my life, and how that’s soaked in, and become part of who I am. Music brings people together,” she says. “I write a lot about love, feeling good and being true to yourself – my music is authentic and it can spread love and joy.” It’s raw, rootsy Americana, with elements of rock, jazz and pop, and electric guitar, fiddle, trumpet and even a Hammond organ.
